Hermana McKay Hadley: "The Power of Youth"

Hey everyone! So, my group email isn't going to be crazy long this week. We haven't had much going on with Hermana Starke recuperating, but because we have been taking it slow she is finally starting to get better! We have both lost a lot of weight this week because she has been on a liquid diet all week and I didn't have to eat a ton of member meals where they decide your portion :) so I have been able to watch my diet a little better.

This week we had Zone Conference which was really fun because we get to see people from 2 other Zones! It was so great to see everyone. Hermana Starke and I were in and out because this was her first time out of the house in a while so we took it slow. President and Sister Henrie gave some amazing training's on Recognizing the Spirit and using the Spirit as much as you can!

One of the highlights of this week was on Saturday. We were able to participate in an awesome youth conference for the Santa Clarita Stake! Their youth conference was all missionary themed so they organized a day with our Mission President where they could come and work for a few hours with missionaries.

We were assigned two awesome girls who came out with us. We went and stopped by a few people and at the very end of our time with them was when we saw our miracle! We asked them if there was anything they wanted to do or felt prompted to do and one of them said street contacting.

So, we started walking down a street and the very first person we talked to was a lady who was carrying groceries. We walked up and asked if she needed help and she said no, then one of the youth (who knew Spanish) started talking to her and told her what we were doing. At the end of talking to this lady we had taught the whole Restoration and Book of Mormon. We walked her home and she invited us to come back Saturday for a picnic so we could talk more.... HOLY COW!!! It was amazing and that is the Power of Youth! They were such good little missionaries and I was so impressed!

Anyways this week has been another adventure, it has been fun being Nurse Hadley for a week and now back to working hard:). Love you all and have an awesome week!!!!
