Well hello everyone! I am first going to start off with our
crazy transfer news.... Hna Starke and I will be staying in Spanish YSA (Young
Single Adults) for another transfer and for a little bit of time we will be in
a trio with .... Hna Jensen!!! Hermana Jensen is one of my past companions in Valencia
and before she had me as a companion she was companions with Hermana Starke! She
is finishing her mission with us during this transfer then going back home to
quickly start school at BYU. Crazy how things work out!
We will also have the English Sister Training Leaders move
in with us. We got the word last night of our new roommates so the Elders were
helping us move more beds in the room and making them into bunkbeds. We are
going from 2 in our bedroom to 5 very quickly! It’s a party!
This week has been really fun:). We had a lesson with
Roberto before he got confirmed this Sunday and we were talking about some of
the things we taught him in the past. He wants to get started on his Family
History work so we can go do Baptisms for the Dead with him when the LA Temple
opens back up!
At the end of our lesson he said that he had a very
important question for us. He asked us how to get started to prepare to serve
his own mission!!! This is so exciting!!! We talked to him about a mission and
he is excited to prepare to go in about a year!
Also, this week we went to an awesome lesson with our Ward
Mission Leader, Hyrum. We went to our investigator Luis' house (who we found
knocking doors) and had a huge break through lesson. He has been struggling
with a lot of Word of Wisdom problems and some other things that have been hard
for him. Hyrum was a huge help because he was able
to relate.
This lesson really opened up my eyes to see that each and
every one of us have potential and we shouldn't judge anyone by the way they
look. Luis expressed to us that he really wants to change his life. Before my
mission I probably would not have talked to Luis, he is covered in Tattoos, is
always drunk, and is a little sketchy.
But, as we have talked with Luis, I have really started to
look at him from the eyes of our Father in Heaven! Luis came to church this Sunday
and loved every second. He said he felt an amazing amount of peace that he
wants to be with him every day. We are working toward baptism with him slowly, he really has so much potential. Just like each and every one of us!
I am so excited that I get to stay in the Spanish YSA! I
have seen so many miracles and I have seen so much happiness in other people. We each have so much to give and we can all
give it in different ways. I am so glad that I get to be a missionary and help
people like Roberto, who is now preparing for a mission, and also people like
Luis who has an open heart to change :).
Have an amazing week everyone!! Talk to you soon!
Love,
Hermana Hadley

Mom Note: Each Monday Night the YSA Branch President and his wife have dinner with the Sister Missionaries. They call it Adventure Monday's and we are blessed with extra pictures that they send to us! Here is last weeks Adventure Monday to a Guatemalan Food Truck!
We were told these were Fancy Spicy Snow Cones :)
The owner of the Food Truck ask if he could share their picture on his
Food Truck Webpage.
They're FAMOUS! This was what we found :)
We were able to attend the Provo MTC Openhouse this last week and thought we would include these pictures that we sent to Hermana Hadley <3
